Our "Security" glove is, as the name suggests, designed for anyone who could be in a situation where they need to protect themselves from a knife attack. Not only does this glove protect against knives but it is also bite resistant. The glove is fully lined with Bladenoma® ultra-high anti-slash material which provides protection to the hands where it is often most needed.

The wrist strap is elasticated and has the "Security" logo embossed with a Velcro closer.

The thumb and forefinger on each hand include Touchscreen material enabling the use of a phone whilst still wearing the gloves.

BITE PROTECTION: This glove has been tested by an authorised UK laboratory and achieved level 2 for puncture and bite resistance as shown in the chart below.

KNIFE PROTECTION: This glove would enable the wearer to grab a knife by the blade whilst protecting the hands from serious injury. The "Security" glove is not stab-proof  (please see our stab proof body armour section for stab proof clothing).

These gloves have been tested to EN 388: 2016 + A1 2018 by an independent UK laboratory and achieved the following results:

• Abrasion resistance:   Level 2
• Blade cut resistance:  Level 5 (The test could not be completed as the material blunted the test blades).
• Tear resistance:          Level 4
• Puncture resistance:   Level 2

Level 5 is the highest level achievable for blade cut resistance under EN 388 2016: + A1: 2018

In view of the inability to complete the blade cut test under EN 388 2016 + A1: 2018 the gloves were sent to a different laboratory for testing to a higher standard using EN ISO 13997: 1999 where the gloves acheived level B

These gloves are warm light and comfortable enough to be worn for long periods of time.
